LNG

While structuring LNG Contracts, it is important to take into cognizance the development of all portions of the value chain which must be meticulously coordinated to mitigate project failures. This applies to both LNG exports and local supply (domestic gas) within the available natural gas resource base.

If the gas and LNG value chain does not result in the development of domestic supply infrastructure, it could drastically impact the entire value chain including profitability and the relationship between IOCs and the governing body from the country of operation.

Hence, the Contract must ensure that it takes into cognizance the long-term relationships between Supplier and Buyer which take into consideration planning, coordination, and room for flexibility. This ensures uninterrupted value chain management encompassing budget requirements, meeting committed timelines, and enough flexibility to overcome changes in the market and operating conditions.

We help clients negotiate and frame long-term LNG contracts.
